for thou wilt lie upon the wings of night, whiter than new snow on a raven's back

when i was about 14, i had this amazing maths teacher. mr burnett. in
white shirts and thin black ties. who talked to us about bob dylan and carl sagan.
who had pictures of dolly parton and albert einstein on the walls.

and who booked the school's AV room to show us zeffirelli's romeo and juliet.

(in maths class!!!)

my father came to stay with us for a few days.
he lives in a hutt in the bush. with solar power and stain-glass windows.
he cooks outside on a fire, and his pots and kettle are all burned black.

he is like a wise and cheeky child.

WOLVES FOR MIRA

wolves to protect you. to always be beside you
in the shadows. to keep you safe
and walk with you when you
go dreaming.
