i just got back from three weeks in my seaside world. the southern village where i grew up.
where the mouth of a river kisses the pacific ocean. my mother was very sick and i went home to help her.
filling my lungs with wintery air and the wheelbarrow with wood, lighting the fire, feeding the tail-less cat called gypsy.
i also went walking nearly every day. delighting to my very soul in the beauty round every corner,
down every road and in every direction....i simply can't manage to be that motivated or inspired in the city...
but in the country i packed rhubarb crumble and dried ginger and apricots, muddied my boots, climbed fences,
flirted with horses and sometimes took my top off - but never my hat!

Eeeeeeeep, Misma! These are sensational! Although your poor thing, it looks terribly cold, but alas the things we do for art, and these came out beautifully. <3
In love <3
thank you precious ladies x x sus it was SO cold!! i had the fire raging away and my coat on and i would set the timer and fling my coat off running and shivering...put on a pose and then leap back into my coat like a hot bath....it was so fun though!! there were actually surfers in the water and i had gone quite a way down from them but i thought they must know exactly what what happening when i would turn from a black dot into a skin coloured dot and back again x x

Oh, Misma! I hope you weren't too freezing when you took these! It looks so chilly. I saw in later photos that you had both hat and mittens on. At least the fire was there to give you light? But, that said, these photos are beautiful. And so are you.
thank you dawn lovely x x oh dear yes it was TERRIBLY cold! i was planning on spending many hours with the crackling fire. gazing up at the stars etc etc...but nope i stayed for about half an hour after darkness and then scurried as fast as i could back to my mother's house and the fire inside! the wind. the cold damp sand. oh it was so so beautiful though. i love my beach x
